Want to go to The Candyman’s WILD Australia Day party? Then you’ll have to answer some bizarre questions on the application form
Travers ‘The Candyman’ Beynon is known for his wild parties.
And the Gold Coast tobacco tycoon has a strict policy for who gets an invite to his upcoming Australia Day bash.
Potential attendees must answer a series of unusual questions before getting on the guest list, reports News.com.au.
Travers, who is the managing director of Freechoice Tobacco and is said to be worth $200million, asks party applicants what brand of cigarettes they smoke.
Would-be guests must also submit a recent photo as well as their social media handles, and need to declare if they have a ‘Candyman’ or ‘Freechoice’ tattoo.
Kathy Davy-Taylor, Travers’ executive assistant, offered her advice for those interested in attending one of The Candyman’s parties.
‘When applying just be yourself, Travers has this uncanny ability or intuition to pick up on how the guest will be simply from the photos supplied and the comment to why they should be invited,’ she said.
‘Travers reviews every single registration personally, and at times [this] can be up to 14,000 registrations, which he’s been doing for years,’ she added.
‘Travers believes this is the most important part of making a party a success… you pick the right people, and you will get the right “vibe” and to him “it’s all about the vibe”.’
The Candy Shop Mansion in Helensvale, on the Gold Coast, has 15 bedrooms, 19 bathrooms and garage space for 21 cars, as well as a huge infinity pool.
It comes weeks after Travers and his glamorous wife Taesha Beynon announced they were on the hunt for new girlfriends to join their polyamorous relationship.
Taesha recently put out the call for some fresh faces on her Instagram page.
‘Married to Travers Beynon… hot girls welcome. The only man for me, but we are looking for new girlfriends,’ she wrote.
The couple split from their ‘main’ girlfriend, Nisha Downes, last year.
The Queensland barmaid used to be featured regularly on the couple’s social media pages, but has been absent for months now.
