In conformity with the agreements reached between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, the governments are making their best efforts to fulfill the plans outlined in the field of economic and trade cooperation, Mishustin said Friday in Dushanbe.

The heads of governments added that the implementation of the agreements reached as a result of these negotiations will further strengthen bilateral cooperation.

Among the documents prepared for signing, Mishustin mentioned those about cooperation in the tax and customs spheres, health and other fields and noted that cultural and humanitarian ties between the two countries are successfully developing.

Mishustin pointed out that this is his first visit to Tajikistan since taking office as Prime Minister and expressed gratitude to President Emomali Rahmon ‘for the excellent organization of all activities’.

In the same sense, the Prime Minister of Tajikistan pointed out that the relations between the two countries are characterized by a high level of trust and permanent mutual support, and also said that Russia remains one of the main economic partners of the republic.
