The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Indonesia, Muzzafar S. Abduazimov is interested in a number of MSME products from Belitung Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province, thereby encouraging product exchange through mutually beneficial business schemes.
“Belitung MSME products are very interesting, especially handicrafts made by local people,” he said when visiting the Belitung KUKM Gallery in Tanjung Pandan, Thursday.
During his visit, Muzzafar S. Abduazimov tasted and purchased several Belitung MSME products.
“We tried snacks and bought some samples of MSME products for my team in Jakarta,” he said.
He also appreciated the quality of Belitung MSME products,
“The quality is good, that’s why we bought it. After we tried it and saw the quality and after we were sure of the quality, then we bought it,” he said.
Muzzafar explained that his current visit to Belitung was his second visit after 2017.
He said that during this visit his party wanted to establish more comprehensive cooperation with Belitung in a number of sectors.
“I want to get closer, the goal is to establish cooperation between the two countries, especially between Belitung and Bukhara (one of the cities in Uzbekistan),” he said.
He explained that his party would sign a cooperation agreement to encourage the development of two cities, namely Belitung and Bukhara.
“I believe Belitung’s commodities can be exported, that’s why we have to be positive and speed up this collaboration,” he said.
Head of the Belitung Regency Trade and Labor UKM Cooperative Service, Syamsuddin in Tanjung Pandan, Thursday said that his party was ready to establish this collaboration.
“Basically, we are ready, but for export regulations there are regulations that must be obeyed,” he said.
In fact, continued Syamsuddin, Uzbekistan Ambassador Muzzafar S Abduazimov has also admitted that Belitung MSME products are suitable for export.
“In terms of products, we just saw that the Ambassador of Uzbekistan said that our products are good, halal and delicious, so it can be said that our MSME products can go global,” he said.
